To the Editor:
To pass a new law is incredibly difficult. The passing of the law to reform the coroner’s system was a collaborative effort of many individuals. We wish to express our gratitude to the following:
To our dear friends, Fred Foley and Dan Rork, whose advice we treasure.
To the citizens of Howard County and beyond who words of encouragement and support kept us determined.
To Chief of Police, Charlie Polson, Mike Neal and Jeff Glandon of the Howard County Sheriffs Department, and Darrin Haslag, Investigator for the Missouri Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control. Your assistance has renewed our faith that justice is still administered on the foundation of truth, by individuals such as yourselves.
To Pettis County Coroner, Bob Smith, Saline County Coroner, Willie Harlow and CED of the Missouri Board of Coroners and Medical Examiners, Kathleen Little. Your morals and ethics enabled you to stand with us when at first no one stood.
To Senator, Jeannie Riddle and staff, Representative Dan Haux and staff and lobbyist, Alex Eaton, your legislative leadership, dedication, personal phone calls, etc. encouraged us to continue the Fight for Missouri Families.
To Jamie Grey, KOMU Target 8 investigator and staff, and Linda Wager, Fox 4 news investigator and staff for providing ongoing media coverage. To the Glasgow Missourian and the Fayette Advertiser for local coverage.
The Friendships we have made during our journey are immeasurable, and we will forever be grateful.
