Approximately 800 trick-or-treaters descended upon downtown Fayette for the annual Trunk-or-Treat, hosted by Downtown Fayette. Forty-five trunks handed out candy and treats, and held games and activities, for the throngs of costumed youngsters in a tradition that has been growing each year. Trunks lined up along both sides of Main Street for two blocks, between Morrison to Elm streets.
Don’t forget to stock up on candy and treats. Tomorrow is Halloween!
Following the annual Pumpkin Fest, held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Linn Memorial UMC Parish on Spring Street, trick-or-treaters will be out in force on Halloween night. The event features games, selfie stations, treats, and free hotdogs and drinks.
The sun will set shortly after 6 p.m., so turn on your porch lights and be ready to greet scores of costumed trick-or-treaters. It is important to give the kids of our community the small-town Halloween they deserve.
