Higbee senior Ronnie Welch (right) was crowned 2025 Courtwarming Queen on Friday night in a ceremony between basketball games. Fellow senior Landon Tuggle was named Courtwarming King, but he was unable to accept the award before the home crowd because he was home sick.
Other senior King and Queen candidates included Raegan Derboven, Marilynn Ritter, Natalie Vanlandingham, Maddie Seidel, Ayden Jennings, Joey Westfall, and Codi Umstattd.
The girls basketball team led off the night with a dominating 68-7 win over Northwestern (Mendon) to continue their unbeaten streak in the CLAA. The boys cruised past Northwestern 74-42. (See full game stories on Page 7 of this newspaper).
