William Dale “Bill” Peterson, Jr., 51, of Wellsville, Missouri, formerly of New Franklin, passed away at his home on August 3, 2021.
He was born in St. Charles, Missouri on February 8, 1970, a son of William Dale Peterson, Sr. and Sharon Lee Peterson. Prior to his illness, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading. He was a St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan. His mother remembers him as being generous with whatever he had to help others.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Peterson; two daughters, Dallas Peterson and Kailey Biesemeyer; a brother, James Peterson; a sister, Jessica Peterson; grandmother, Shirley Mills; three aunts, Hazel Smith, Sandy Suminski, and Debbie Peterson; and an uncle, Gary Peterson.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Dale Peterson, Sr.; grandparents, William Mills, and Edward and Florence Peterson; an aunt, Martha Allen; and uncles, Delbert Mills, Steven Mills, and Jerry Peterson.
Services honoring Bill’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in New Franklin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or the American Diabetes Association.
