Daly Elementary School is one of 197 schools to receive the Missouri SW-PBS Recognition Award of Excellence for implementing school-wide positive behavior support (SW-PBS) during the 2024-25 school year.
The school’s Positive Behavior Support Team meets monthly to evaluate and analyze referral data, supporting teachers, students, and lessons to help reteach. Daly Elementary principal Samie Hill said the school focuses on daily positive reinforcement, earning 100 Falcon heads for a school-wide party (for classes following expectations), expectation boot camps to reteach school-wide expectations, and attending professional development to help support PBIS leaders and DES staff. Detailed documentation and paperwork were submitted to be eligible and evaluated for the award.
