Central Methodist University once again invites students’ loved ones to campus next weekend for the annual Family Day celebration on Saturday, September 26.

Family Day offers an opportunity for families and loved ones of Central students to visit, have some fun, and immerse themselves in the CMU experience alongside their student. From athletic events to campus attractions, there is something for every family on Family Day.

The day begins with Family Day t-shirt pickup from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Puckett Fieldhouse parking lot (shirts can be purchased for $10). The Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art and the Central Museum of History both open at 10. The Eagle Store will also open at 10 for all CMU gear needs, while the Bergsten Dining Hall will open for brunch at 10:30.

The Family Day tailgate will begin at 11 a.m. in the parking lot of Davis Field, ahead of the 1 p.m. football game against William Penn. The CMU reserve softball team will also begin a double-header at 1, while the Eagles volleyball team will take on MidAmerica at 6 p.m.

Also at 6 p.m. will be Song Fest by Sigma Alpha Iota, under the clocktower of Linn Memorial United Methodist Church. Families may also have dinner in the dining hall from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

For more information on times and locations, visit the Family Day page on the CMU website.
