CELEBRATING NATIONAL 4-H WEEK. On Tuesday morning, Howard County Commissioners signed the 2025 National 4-H Week Proclamation. 4-H is America’s largest youth development organization, supporting nearly six million youth across the country. 4-H is delivered by Cooperative Extension, a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provide experiences where young people learn by doing in hands-on projects in areas including health, science agriculture, and citizenship. In attendance were Jerimiah Johnmeyer, Presiding Howard County Commissioner, Jeff Stockhorst, Eastern District County Commissioner, Mat Freese, Western District County Commissioner, 4-H Club leaders from Cherry Grove 4-H, Fayette Fellowship 4-H, and Steinmetz 4-H, along with 4-H members Liam and Logan Felten, and Howard County 4-H Youth Educator Dawn Shipp.
