Former Fayette city council alderwoman Stephanie Ford announced she will seek election to the office of Howard County Treasurer. She will be a candidate on the Republican ticket in the August Primary election.
She is the first to declare for the position since it was announced in last week’s Advertiser that five-term incumbent Susan Keyton will retire when her term expires on Dec. 31.
A lifelong Howard County resident, she served five terms as East Ward Alderwoman on the Fayette city council. She currently resides in Fayette with her family.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Business Administration, Ford has built a career marked by extensive experience in management, operations, and financial oversight. She believes her background in finance, organization, and business, combined with her years on the city council, will be invaluable assets in the role of county treasurer.
