The band was under the direction of Central Methodist University Director of Bands Chuck Moore, along with each school’s band director. Seven of the eight conference schools combined to field 59 students, who prepared new music throughout the day and presented a concert that evening.
The honor band performed the following pieces: Choose Joy by Randall Standridge, Air for Band by Leroy Anderson, Hosts of Freedom by Karl L. King, arranged by Jim Swearingen, and Into the Clouds by Richard Saucedo.
