A GoFundMe account has been set up for a Fayette police officer whose home was destroyed by fire on Nov. 15. The account has a goal of $5,000. So far, $620 has been raised as of this writing.
Dalton Dubea lives in Moberly, but was hired as an officer here in September. The fire reportedly destroyed all of his family’s belongings.
“The family has been displaced, struggling to find stability, and are currently living with relatives while searching for a new place to call home,” according to the GoFundMe page.
Officer Dubea’s mother is reportedly bed-bound and requires round-the-clock care for her COPD. Without a home, the family is facing urgent needs for clothing, furniture, kitchen essentials, and medical supplies.
