Fayette’s next phase of street repaving will focus on Spring, Lucky, and Herndon streets around the public schools. Construction is scheduled to begin today (Wednesday) and conclude Tuesday, July 21, according to information provided by the city on Monday.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area during construction.
The repaving is part of a nearly $1 million ongoing project by the city. Already, four intersections along South Church Street have been repaved. Street overlays then took place on West Morrison and West Davis streets between the square and Highway 5.
The next batch of streets expected to be repaved are Walnut, Depot, Lake, Reynolds, and Leonard Avenue. However, this work is dependent upon Community Development Block Grant funding.
