Eight teams packed St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Fellowship Hall on Friday, Nov. 1, for the Fayette Rotary Club’s annual Trivia Night. Competitors enjoyed eight rounds of trivia, four rounds of “Dead or Alive,” and a free chili/soup supper, and together raised more than $2,500 to support Rotary’s service work in the community.
Jamie Page coordinated the evening and served as emcee. Larry Anderson led the popular “Dead or Alive” contests. Participants also had the chance to purchase tickets for a 50/50 raffle.
Proceeds from the event will help support the club’s Senior Center renovation project, send students to RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Academy), Girls State, and Boys State, provide dictionaries to every Daly Elementary third grader, and fund other Rotary community service projects.
The Fayette Rotary Club extends a sincere thank you to all participants and to the following businesses who sponsored rounds of Trivia and Dead or Alive and provided mulligans: Addison Biological Laboratory, Central Methodist University, Central Missouri Transmission, Commercial Trust Co., Commercial Trust Financial Services, Edward Jones, Exchange Bank, Gerlt Rentals, Home Oil, Peak Sport and Spine, and State Farm.
